We spent most of the afternoon of May 25, 2014, sitting in Jal, New Mexico, watching towers go up, sprinkle, then dissipate as they crossed the Texas state line just to our east. After 6:00pm, however, our patience paid off as this beautiful supercell thunderstorm exploded over Carlsbad. The crepuscular rays coming from behind the storm made it appear to glow and proclaim, I am the one!" Taken west of Eunice, New Mexico, May 25, 2014.
